Albion Hotel, The Parade, Margate
The Albion Hotel dates from at least 1848 starting its life as one of the many lodging establishments lining this street at the time. In the early 1860's the Hotel was acquired by the famous Drury Lane clown Harry Boleno. In those days the Hotel was full of his visiting fans and though retired he would perform impromptu 'clowning.
