My father took over the tenancy of the Primrose in 1955 and this is were we stayed until the brewery would not renew the tenancy, as it was their policy to change the house to a managed house. We moved out on the 1st April 1974. My father and mother were very upset about having to move, as this had been a very good business for him and a wonderful place for me and my brother to be brought up in. ***
