I am researching the Drapers Arms looking to find an ancestor who
(allegedly) was once the publican. This would be around the period 1880's
through 1890's; I note the name Walter Rogers listed as publican in
1891. I looked up the 1891 census records and found that at 29 Barnsbury
Street the only person listed as resident was Rosina Smith aged 25 and
apparently married. Her occupation was shown as Public House manageress and
not linked to my ancestors.
It could be that Walter Rogers was the publican but not in residence or
perhaps the pub changed hands before and after the census date.
