My great grandfather was Samuel Worlledge. He was born in c.1855 in Stradishall in Suffolk and married Louisa Back in 1879. Of their children, it's possible that the two youngest - Mary Louise (who married in 1913, age 23) and Evalina (age 11 in 1906, 19 in 1914 and married in 1919) - would also have been living at the Stag for some, if not all, of that period.
Other possible residents include Samuel's mother-in-law Evalina Western who was living with the couple at the 1901 census [Samuel is a grocer in Cambridge], and young grandchildren Stan and Winifred Snowden. These were the children of their second eldest - Ethel, my grandmother - who was widowed in 1907 and sometime after migrated to London for work where my father was born. I believe she left Stan and Winifred in the care of her parents at some stage.
On my grandmother's wedding certificate (1904, married in Finchingfield), Samuel is described as an innkeeper so, again, it's possible his tenure at the Stag goes back to at least then. ***
